This production of Stephen Sondheim's and Hugh Wheeler's Sweeney Todd was performed at Penn State University's Playhouse theatre in November of 2024. Sweeney Todd is a dark musical comedy about a barber who comes back to London seeking revenge on those who exiled him and tormented his wife. I was the Associate Lighting Designer for this production, and stepped into the role as acting Lighting Designer from the duration of run-through and preview week. I worked with William Kenyon (Lighting Designer) and Valentine Pesola (Assistant Lighting Designer) from the initial design stages all the way through the opening of the show.
